Network Setup Troubleshooting

If setup does not work the first time, that is okay.

This page helps you get InkJoy Frame back to a state where setup can continue.

Press RESET and try setup again

  1. Press the RESET hole once with a pin (next to the power button).
  2. Wait until the frame returns to the initial screen.
  3. Press and hold the power button to turn it on again, then run setup from the start.

Use this when:

  • The current frame state is unclear.
  • The screen and indicator lights do not seem to match.
  • Setup still cannot start after several attempts.

The APP cannot find InkJoy Frame

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone.
  2. Confirm that InkJoy Frame is still in setup mode:
    • InkJoy Frame is showing the setup screen.
    • Press the InkJoy Frame button once and confirm that the blue light is blinking slowly, about once every 3 seconds.
  3. Press RESET once with a pin, then try again.

Setup fails after entering Wi-Fi

  1. Check whether the Wi-Fi SSID is correct. On Android, it is best to use the scan feature to pick the SSID.
  2. Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct.
  3. Adjust Wi-Fi compatibility if needed. For example, if you are using an iPhone hotspot as the access point, enable Maximize Compatibility, or try a different Wi-Fi network.
