Indicator Lights

InkJoy Frame uses red, green, blue, and orange lights to show power, network, operating, and upgrade states.

Basic rules

  • Red: charging or power-related status
  • Blue: network-related status
  • Green: normal operation and full-charge prompt
  • Orange: OTA upgrade

Common states

Red light stays on

  • Status: charging

Green light stays on

  • Status 1: fully charged
  • Status 2: normal operating state
  • Status 3: stays on briefly after successful power-on

Red light flashes rapidly

  • Status: power off
  • Behavior: flashes twice quickly after shutdown succeeds

Red light flashes slowly (3 seconds on, 3 seconds off)

  • Status 1: low battery, battery level is 5% or lower
  • Status 2: battery almost empty

Blue light flashes slowly (3 seconds on, 3 seconds off)

  • Status: network setup mode
  • Result:
  • On success, the blue light stays on for 30 seconds and then turns off
  • On failure, it stays active for a while and then exits

Blue light flashes rapidly (0.5-second interval)

  • Status: network error or setup failure

Green and blue lights alternate slowly

  • Status: wrong Wi-Fi password
  • After 5 consecutive failures, setup mode closes

Orange light stays on

  • Status: OTA upgrade in progress
  • It turns off after the upgrade finishes

Red, blue, and green lights flash alternately

  • Status: factory reset in progress
  • The green light flashes 3 times after completion for confirmation

How to read the current state

If you are not sure what is happening, check these together:

  1. Whether the screen is still on the network setup page
  2. Whether the APP can find the device
  3. Whether the light is steady, blinking slowly, or blinking rapidly
